It was a much better day today. I think that walking to work makes a difference. The battle I have with the hill every morning invigorates me I guess...

The sunrise over the school buses was particularly nice this morning!

Maybe the sunrise though the dead flowers is better?

I checked out the garden I love to take photos in to see what was happening.....

There was this pumpkin, it looked like some of the local wildlife had gotten to it.

And of course there are the cosmos....poor sad cosmos.....

As I went on my way I felt some one watching me!

I also found this neat looking plant life.

and when I got tired I had a seat on the couch.

Wait... what? For anyone keeping track this is couch #2 that has been dumped on the street behind where I work.

Finally, I know you are all jealous of my footie pajamas!

This is the first day I am feeling truly uninspired. maybe it is because I didn't walk to work... I am cold and grumpy...

For those of you who don't know I work at a feline only veterinary clinic.

It was another brisk day today. It was 25 degrees when I walked to work. I know it isn't THAT cold.... and it could be colder.... I moved there thinking that I escaped the really cold weather.... alas I did not. Oh well, we will make the best of it by taking photos of icy things!

I used the flash on my Elph since it was a bit dark this morning. I am not sure that I am completely happy with the results.

I found this random object today.... It is the inside panel of a car door... I wonder what the story is here...

And then there was this tarp.... I thought it might be a person at first.... but it was just a tarp.... (I think It scared me the other night but it was in a different place... It mus have blown down the hill.... I thought it was a person then too...)

This little clover might still be lucky!

I found some neat frost today, at 10am when we went to Costco.

This is the most delicious cookie on earth. Made by my mom and only at Thanksmas/Christmas time.

It was freezing today.... But then my mom texted me that I was 16 degrees and snowing in Riverton and I was happy to be in Seattle where is was 34 degrees.....

I thought I would make a comparison to a flash and a nonflash photo with my Elph. I did change the angle a bit so I guess it isn't a true comparison.... It is very interesting how different the colors are. I remember them being more like the bottom photo.

Here is the random object I found on my walk to work. It is so odd to see one shoe. I bet the person who lost it is very sad.

It was made very clear to me that I wasn't going home tonight after work. She didn't want to get off my bag. Poor Inky didn't want to be left alone again!

This is a very silly photo. On my walk home I discovered that my head lamp makes an animal's eyes shine. Then I got to the corner and saw this.

I almost jump out of my skin. Turns out they aren't glowing red eyes.... there are more Christmas around the side of the fence.

I was very tired today. I will probably be tired for the next week! It was a good vacation, but not very restful!

I cooked with cauliflower tonight! I made a risotto.

 For Thanksmas I received something that I terrifies me.... but I need it as I explore being a better photographer....

I know you are very scared too.... But I am on a mission to learn to use it properly! along with Photoshop....

I also got this nifty monitor to replace my broken one! It is a whopping 24inches.... please ignore the mess on the desk... the area is under construction.

It was a very busy day at the clinic! I spent most of my time on the phone, but at least some one was happy to see me!!

 And the damn onions make me cry every single time I have to cut them up!!

Focus was optional today!

To be fair it is very hard to take a photo from a car while it is driving down the freeway at 70 miles an hour.

 We stopped at the Wild Horse Casino in Oregon for gas, the wind was blowing ten thousand miles an hour. Oddly enough we ran into one of Joel's friends from high school!

We drove a ton of miles on this trip!

I am so glad to be home.... but I am not thrilled about having to unpack!

We did stop for Indian food on the way home... who wants to cook after driving for 9 hours.....
