You didn't think it would be long before I started another crazy project.... right?

Well, I have been slowly working on this one for a while. I decided that I was going to fold 1000 cranes from 1000 different papers. I have been gathering different origami papers  for about a year or so. I am no where close to 1000. Tonight I was trying to figure out how to catalog all the paper so I had an accurate count. Joel said I should take a photo of each paper then I wouldn't have to get all the paper out to check if I had a paper.  I agreed.

I didn't have to work alone though. I had help.

She even let me take a few photos of her!

You didn't think I would let you off with out seeing some of my papers did you?

To help keep me going these last couple days before I go home I have turned to the zen activity of crane folding. I love doing it and it keeps me busy.

I also tried to take some shots of a running dog.... these didn't come out as well... Buddy is too fast for me.... I need my 50D with sports mode!

So I got this letter today.....

It makes me laugh and cry at the same time.  This is a $125 increase in our rent. If you know our neighborhood or have seen out building you would know that is is absolutely ridiculous.

There are some big changes coming for us in the next two months.......and I have a feeling it isn't going to be so easy.

On the lighter side of things, Opal was very amiable to getting her picture taken today. She even stepped up on my finger from her perch in her cage!

Artemis, however, was having none of it!

Here is the start to my latest origami piece. It doesn't look like much yet I know....

I also made these cranes out of some sheet music. I don't think they look quite right. Opinions?

Now I have to pack our lunches and figure out what I am going to wear tomorrow to the Emerald City Comic Con!

My boss is out of town so I am hanging out with this guy again! He found a biscuit he had hidden in the backyard.

I tried to trade him some old blackberries for this bone.... but Syd said no....

Inky didn't like the cranes I was folding today.....

Joel and I are now the proud parents of two budgies! We haven't named them and Joel hasn't actually met them yet! They came from a home where the rest of the budgies in the flock were picking on them. They were pretty unhappy. Now they will be happy though! We have some work to do to tame them but I think they will come around. ( I hope they will let me take better photos of them too!)

Oh and I posted this photo for another g+ group that is doing a weekly photo post. This is Numbers: Two of a kind.

Look how adorable George is!

There is no way he would ever be a mean guy and pick on Inky! Yeah right.... He chased her on some boxes today! It was hilarious. She was so mad. Poor Inky....

Joel picked me up form work today and brought me home to a lovely surprise!

The roses are tiny and so cute!
