I made it out for a small walk in my favorite park!

New growth never stops.

This reminds me of an alligator wearing a feather boa.

I went to Cooper Mountain Park today. It was supposed to rain buckets this afternoon, but it didn't.

I decided to take a look at some lichen and moss today. I wish it had weird eyeballs, like the moss in Labyrinth.....

Today I examined the fence and parking lot of my building.
This is from the side where I park my car.

I guess they are building a new fence on the side our windows face.... It is probably an attempt to make the complex look nicer.... They are raising rents here an outrageous amount.

I learned that my three legged kitty friend's name is Tenzing.

 

When he was adopted his family was told not to let him outside. But he had different ideas, he climbed and ripped up all the window screens. So they named him after Tenzing Norgay, one of the first men to climb Mount Everest.

There were lots of reds, yellows, and oranges on the way to work this morning.

Tilly's orchid bloomed!

 And I lost my breakfast......

But you can't stay mad at someone who has such cute toes!

I am feeling pretty disappointed this evening. My short story didn't make it into the Women Destroy SciFi issue of Lightspeed Magazine. I am actually surprised how disappointed I am. It will be alright. They are having a new contest, this time, it is a fantasy short story.

Today my little pink camera and I had a big disagreement about where to focus.....

 It seemed that it didn't want to focus on anything close.....

except this was of hair/fur....

so I gave up on trying to do any macro photos today....

Maybe my lens is dirty.....
