(Hooray!! Internet! I am so excited!)

Here is what has been happening! I bet you can't wait to find out.

We moved all the big furniture today!

This guy wasn't much help. I had to prod him out of the way so he wouldn't get stepped on.

Adam almost died walking down the steps! It broke out from under him while he was carrying a chair.

Here is just a start in our new bedroom!

Here is the only casualty from the day (That we know of so far....) It wasn't even from some one lifting it.... a chair sat on it and broke it.....

It was a long and tiring day.  We wouldn't have been able to get it done with out help from Mandy and Shawn!

So we have started the Kraken Packin' !

Here are some to the boxes; some of them are packed and some of them aren't.

Seriously,  what is all this stuff?!

Joel has a big day of moving tomorrow. I have to work. He and Adam are going to muscle things into our new place. So, Joel is turning in early.

Have I ever told you I really don't like moving? I bet I did, about a year ago.....

Well, I still hate it. I appologize in advance for my blog being silly and/or lame the next few days there is lots to do.

Today did not have the best beginning.....

This mess was on out our balcony:

We finally did get on the road.... two hours after we should have started.

This wonderful cute guy was waiting for us when we got to our new home! Thanks Jen!!

Then we unloaded the truck. The two guys we hired in Beaverton were not as awesome as the old guys in Seattle. We go the job done in about an hour, our new roommate Adam helped.

This is what we accomplished!

Adam step up the big TV and we watched some League  of Legends while we waited for Jen to get off work.

We went to dinner and I drinks a huge margarita!!!

I am totally beat!

First here is George making out with his foot. For some reason this cracks me up!

I accidentally left a box top on the counter and this happened:

We picked up the UHaul this afternoon! It wasn't as big and as terrifying as I thought it would be.... mostly.

Here it is empty, I was sure all of our things wouldn't fit the back.

But it all did! With a little room to spare. The two guys that helped us pack were from Good Times Moving. They were Ed and Wayne. They were almost as old as my father and I felt bad for having them pack a moving truck.... but it is what they are choosing to do with their time....  Ed did an amazing job tetrising all of the boxes and furniture in. (Sorry I don't have photos.... I was hauling boxes around too!)

Here is what it looks like all packed! There is still some room for the miscellaneous things that we have left to pack.

I also had some time to take some photos of flowers. (I drove the truck and Joel went to get us some lunch.... he had all the keys to get back into the apartment building.....)

Joel and I went out for one last meal at Taste of India. It has been our go to restaurant when ever we were hungry, needless to say we have eaten there A LOT! We told the owner it was our last meal before we were moving and he came back and said "Your last meal is on me!"
We couldn't believe it!  

I have to drive the fully loaded truck to Portland in the morning! Hope everyone has a great night!!

Moving is not awesome.... if you ever think you are doing alright.... you are no where close to ready....

Moving near your birthday is also a terrible idea.....
We cancelled my fun and awesome birthday party in favor of packing.
Our super wonderful friends came over and helped us!

I gave them cake... that is not a lie!

They turned the giant mess into this!

We also found a neat way to keep the birds out of trouble while being out of their cages.

April 1st 2014

This is NOT a April Fool's Day joke......

I decided to leave my job at the end of May and move to Portland. Seattle just hasn't really felt like home for us, and the cost of living is much more then we can afford.

This is what Inky thought of the whole idea since she won't be able to go with me. (She will stay at the clinic and be loved and adored by her public. She would be bored if she had to stay in a house all day.)
