July 23rd 2014

It rained quite heavily this morning. I thought I would have to build a raincoat for my camera to go take photos. There was a break in the rain and Joel and I made a mad dash back to Morrison Woods Natural Area. The path turned out to be quite a bit shorter then I first thought but, it was still pretty.

Joel and I made it back to the car and most of the way home before it started pouring rain again. We were thinking about stopping at another park, but the clouds told us to go home!

Hope you have a great night!

Went for another walk in the nature park today!

I a pretty sure that this is a female Common White Tail or Long-Tailed Skimmer dragon fly. They are a fairly common species in the US.

This is a Banana Slug with some unique coloring!

Here is a terrible photo of what I think is a Pacific Tree frog.... we almost stepped on him!

Here is some exciting news! The frog eggs hatched last night! There are three healthy tadpoles!
What should we name them?

Have a great night everyone!!
