May 30th 2014

I feel like I might be coming down with something today..... ugh.... probably all the stress from the past week has left my immune system in shambles. I am going to gets some rest.

I hope you enjoy these photos of Inky!

I also found a dead bug on a window sill.

And some tiny flowers.

May 29th 2014

Things are settling down and I am getting into my new/old routine in Seattle. Our New hire will start on Saturday.

Inky is always very helpful.

I wish she would let me comb her..... she is shedding so much!
Coffee passed inspection.

So did the camera.
After work we went to a fun little pizza place Flying Squirrel Pizza. (This is in Seattle)

I knew it was going to be a good place because they were playing David Bowie when I walked in.

This tasty beverage was a Spire Mountain Dark and Dry Cider. It was sooooooo good.

We ordered the Eartha Kit Pizza. Yum!

Hope everyone has a great night!

May 28th 2014

Today things are settling in to the new "normal" that will be my life for probably the next month. It is a little bit hard to be away from Joel and in my own personal environment, but  I will start training the new person at work soon and I will get to go home.

I went with Kathryn today to get a dog. She has been looking at him for a few days on the internet and today we took Syd to meet him.

We had to wait for PAWS to open. So we wondered around and took some photos.

I think these are Salmon Berries.

Here is a kitty waiting for its forever home.... I wanted to go say hi to all the kitties, but I decided not to do it. It would just make me really sad and I would want to take them all home.

I also came across this spider..... it was nearly as big as the cat....

Probably because it eats these enormous flies.....

And here are some flowers:

Finally here is little Buddy Nunzio! He got his new forever home today with Kathryn and Syd!

May 27th 2014

The best laid plans.....
I left my camera cord in Portland.... I have photos.... But we will all have to wait until tomorrow to see them....

I am feeling pretty disappointed right now.

I'm sorry...

UPDATE on 5/28:

Yay! I got a new cord! I went to Radio Shack to get one and the guy told me they didn't have one and I would probably have to go to a camera store to get a new one. I thought this was rubbish so, I went to Fred Meyer, they had one....

(My Blog post for the 27th is still not perfect.... It was long day and I was pretty worn out by everything.... There are only 4 photos from the 27th... oops.)

As I started to drive back to Seattle on the 26th, I came to the draw bridge across the Columbia River.... It was up... I think is was a sign that Washington didn't want me back.

You can see the tiny boat with a huge mast in the bottom left had corner. That is the boat we were waiting for.

Here is the sunset from the car window. It was a very pretty drive.

On the 27th..... I had to pump my own gas..... Joel usually does this for me, and in Oregon they won't let you do it.... that is one of my favorite things....

When I cut up a cucumber for dinner, all these tiny water droplets appeared. I am not sure if this happens all the time and I never noticed or it is a more rare phenomenon.

Here is the salad I made:

If you are ready for more sad news... This is my laptop......

But don't worry!  I have a back up monitor! and a windows update....

I learned that it is pretty easy and fairly inexpensive to replace the screen.

Oh well.... Everything will get settled.

May 26th 2014

The first thing we did this morning when we go up was go get some breakfast!

Sesame Donuts is probably one of the Portland area's best  kept secrets. The donuts are amazing and really inexpensive. The best thing: $1.50 for 15 donut holes. The best donut hole? Why the Sesame ones of course!! Who knew that sesame seeds would taste so amazing on a donut! I am so happy to have this little shop in my life again!!

We also had lunch with some good friends I hadn't seen in ages! Yay!! Cassie and Alex!

Here is a tiny rose I found... The wind kept blowing it everywhere.....

This is a leaf from a Kiwi tree!

I am just about to drive back to Seattle. I am pretty worn out from all the moving and changes..... I am hoping that I won't have to stay too long and can get started with my new life in Oregon!

Have a good night!!
