October 18th 2013

This morning was amazing! It was foggy and all the dew was clinging to everything. All the spider webs were visible. It was breathtaking!

But you know what happened as I happily experimented with my slow syncro flash? My battery died. Did I have my 2nd battery.... nope. It was at home on the charger. You think I would have learned this lesson.... but I guess it hasn't sunk in yet.... Why bother having extra batteries, if I am just going to leave them home.... jeez...

Joel, bless his heart, brought me my battery at work so I could shoot some more on the way home.

Oh well, it is supposed to be foggy again tomorrow, I will try again.

Here is what I did take today:

Not sure exactly what a happened here, but it is pretty creepy.... The fog added some weird elements.

I used the flash! and it doesn't look too horrible!

 Here I am walking home!

and then this was sitting there this morning......

Who leaves toilet paper on the side of the road?

October 14th 2013

I am not as pleased with my work today, but I suppose that will happen. There are more days and more photos to be made. Everyday can't be an amazing photo day.

This is a dosa, Joel said he liked the photo, I am on the fence about it, but feel my other choices for today were equally as meh.

October 12th 2013

As I was walking home today I realized that I wasn't taking enough photos. That I was saving photos to take for a different day (How do you even save a photo for a different day?). I was thinking that if I took lots of  pictures on my walk home that there would be no more photos to take there.... EVER.  Looking back this is what I did yesterday too. I actually stopped myself from taking photos. That is the exact opposite of what this project is about for me.

When I realized my behavior was pretty counterproductive. I started pressing the shutter button. I am shooting digital.  I don't have to pay to develop all the rolls of film, or spend the time in the darkroom developing it. I can shoot as may photos as my card can hold. Who cares?!

And you know what? There will still be stuff to take photos of tomorrow.

These two were taken on my walk to work, in the rain.

These were taken on the walk home, in the sun.

Finally, here is me eating some kale and broccoli quiche I made for breakfast.
