Joel and I picked blackberries in the empty lot by our apartment complex.

Joel figures we would have paid about $15 at the store for these.... It was about 2 pounds of berries.
Hope you have a great night!!

Jen and I went over to look at the Nun's Garden today. It was less exciting then I had hoped. But there were still things to see.

This little bug looks so angry!

And the best part was all the bees! (I think I got some good ones of some bumble bees!)

This little Ladybug:

Here is a little bit of sun set:

Hope you have a great night!

Obviously Jen is a much better subject then me, thanks auto focus!

The over blackberries are starting to ferment. The smell is really strong when you walk by the bushes now.

But there are still some that are yet to mature:

The thistles have gone to seed:

And the flowers in the Sisters of Saint Mary's are blooming:

And some are going to seed:

The plums are almost ripe in their trees:

There was another lovely sunset. I wonder if it is because of all the wildfires....

Oh! I finished my cloak for the Renaissance Faire! I decided that sewing was pretty fun, and gives you a good sense of accomplishment. Maybe I should sew more things.....

Jen and I went for a little walk in our neighborhood this evening.

We found a plant covered in ladybugs. There were adults and some pupae. I'm not sure, but this one may have come out of the empty pupa near the top of the plant.

We also found some ripe and delicious blackberries!

We visited the garden at the Catholic Church.

and now I am home editing photos!

Have a great night everyone!

My boss is out of town so I am hanging out with this guy again! He found a biscuit he had hidden in the backyard.

I tried to trade him some old blackberries for this bone.... but Syd said no....

Inky didn't like the cranes I was folding today.....

Joel and I are now the proud parents of two budgies! We haven't named them and Joel hasn't actually met them yet! They came from a home where the rest of the budgies in the flock were picking on them. They were pretty unhappy. Now they will be happy though! We have some work to do to tame them but I think they will come around. ( I hope they will let me take better photos of them too!)

Oh and I posted this photo for another g+ group that is doing a weekly photo post. This is Numbers: Two of a kind.
