I had a late night at work. Joel and I went to eat Ramen.

They are having their "soft opening". We were supposed to have reservations, but we didn't. They were so nice they let us in anyway!

We had some vegetable tempura.

 

I had Spicy Ramen. (It wasn't very spicy, but it was delicious!)

 

Joel had Vegetarian Ramen, of course!

Noodles!!

So good!!!!!

I think that Artemis is going to be a good little friend.

His is actually sitting on my head as I am writing this post......

I found this box of junk on the steps that lead to the parking lot at work.....

Inky had a lazy day... like always....

I came home and ate a salad!

To fortify myself to clean out my art area and get rid of things.

I need help.....

 

 

does one really need all these pens and pencils? Why yes.... yes I do....

Joel made dinner tonight! This used to happen everyday but, now, since he works most evenings it is a super treat!
He has been trying to make a Mongolian sauce like the one at Fortune Wok in Boise. Tonight he came pretty close.

So.... I don't know if anyone has a piece of kitchen equipment that hates them. I have a can opener..... This one.... Joel and I bought it when we moved to Seattle.

I cannot open a can with this can opener. It doesn't puncture the can, it also bends the can. I don't know why... It makes me crazy! Joel can use it just fine.....

I have to use this one.....

It is rusted and old and kinda scary.... but it opens cans. It doesn't fight me.....

I had to open a can of beans for dinner.

I also grated some cheese.

Good stuff.

Joel went to the store today and he brought these home for me!

Joel also has to work tonight. He has to close. I get a little lonely so I listen to books.

It isn't often Joel and I have the day off together (he almost had to go in today too), so he made a super tasty dinner.

Korokkes! (they are pretty much breaded and friend mashed potatoes! YUM!)

He started by making some mashed potatoes and adding some peas, carrots, and corn.

Then he covered it with flour.

Next comes the beaten eggs

Finally he rolled it in Panko.

Then it is placed into the hot oil.

Be careful when flipping them!

They have to be golden all over!

The Korokkes have to rest before you eat them!

So much YUM!

They are all gone....

I ate a mandarin orange for dessert!

I had to have something healthy to eat today! This was breakfast......

So far in January I seem to have forgotten that Healthy was a work I needed to be.....oops....

Look how adorable George is!

There is no way he would ever be a mean guy and pick on Inky! Yeah right.... He chased her on some boxes today! It was hilarious. She was so mad. Poor Inky....

Joel picked me up form work today and brought me home to a lovely surprise!

 and Shahi Paneer made from scratch!

The roses are tiny and so cute!

Here is what I ended up creating with the cranes.

I will make a better attempted at the framed pieces with some natural light.......
