I am a little late in saying this to Joel... HAPPY ANNIVERSARY! We have been together for seven years now!

May 30th is our actual anniversary. When I returned home from Seattle there was a beautiful bunch of roses waiting for me!!

I guess they call Portland the Rose City for a reason..... there are still rose blooming now!

That is all of the loveliness in my blog today..... stop now or you will see a LARGE SPIDER. Not kidding it was huge!

I am pretty sure, 90% sure this is a Giant House Spider and not a Hobo Spider. I didn't get the chance to pick it up and look at it sternum, I am not an arachnologist, and I don't have a microscope so, I can't be 100% certain......

Joel in his infinite wisdom decided he wanted to poke the spider with a leaf stem. I told him not to do it, because the spider would probably run on to my foot. He poked it anyway, this caused the super fast spider to run UNDER MY ARCH. It was looking for a nice safe place to hide and under my foot looked pretty awesome. Here is the spider on my flipflop for a good size reference. Some how I got it off and didn't hurt the spider.

Inky comforted me.... I was pretty upset from Joel's betrayal....

Just kidding. It was pretty funny.

I was challenged to a fight today on my way to work. I couldn't really believe it! I just stopped to take this photo:

and out of no where this guy starts going for me!

I am 100% not kidding. This lady bug was super angry! Like the Grouchy Ladybug by Eric Carl..... I kept lunging at me.... I didn't even know ladybugs did that...... So I took its photo a few times and decided to let it go be grouchy on its own. It was the weirdest thing.....

Joel and I had a fun surprise this week. His cousin Chris was in town for a short time! Here is a terrible family photos I took.

Maddy did get all made up for dinner.

I went with some friends to the Lan Su Chinese Garden today.

I have no idea who this guy is. I an practicing a bit of street photography.

Also, it was Stab Your Friends Night at the Northwest Fencing Center. Joel is is pretty into fencing so we went and signed him up for a membership so he will be able to fence in the evenings now that he doesn't work nights!

Joel had to help this little guy with his foot work, he was a lefty surrounded by righties and was confused about what to do with his feet. He was only 5 years old, maybe.....

Today could have been a better day.... The woman we hired to take my place decided that she didn't actually want to do it. That means I pack a u-haul on Saturday, drive to Beaverton on Sunday, unload the u-haul, then drive back to Seattle on Monday without Joel.... awesome....

I found some individual caterpillers to take photos of today.

Joel and I checked out a new to us Chinese restaurant. The food was alright, but this Foo Dog is pretty awesome.

And their table offered neat reflections!

Look how adorable George is!

There is no way he would ever be a mean guy and pick on Inky! Yeah right.... He chased her on some boxes today! It was hilarious. She was so mad. Poor Inky....

Joel picked me up form work today and brought me home to a lovely surprise!

 and Shahi Paneer made from scratch!

The roses are tiny and so cute!
