I am in a not so good mood today. I don't know why.... there is nothing specific that went wrong. Just a general grumpiness.... I am going to eat some peanut butter and chocolate, take a shower and call it a day. I didn't write today....

Today's random object I found in my neighborhood is a sea shell in the grass!

Crow on a wire. There were a zillion crow at the street corner this morning. 

It is November 7th. I have not seen one thing for Thanksgiving! But here is the Christmas stuff?!

And finally here I am playing an Marauder in the game Path of Exile. I needed to go squash some Zombies. (Isn't my pet Kiwi cute?)

November 6th 2013

Having a day off is very nice. You get to do all the things you want and/or have to do. I spent some time lazing around, wrote a little bit (not enough yet) had some good cuddles, played some Path of  Exile (free to RPG really fun, check it out). And right when we were going to go to the grocery store, Joel got called into work early..... No groceries today..... I doubt we will starve....

So what have I done with my day? I am glad you asked.

I washed the pots and cleaned the kitchen!

I tried to photography lentils and orzo. I am not really satisfied with these images.... the lighting is not so good.

Then I did some laundry, and put away ALL the laundry that has been hanging out on the couch! (You know you hate putting it away too, I don't even know why we bother with a closet and drawers)

I also ate some chocolate chips.

Now I am watching the X-files with all the lights on in the apartment. Wait.... the bathroom light isn't on.... I should probably turn that on too....

Thanks to the clocks falling back I a little bit of light to work with in the morning. I bet you can't guess what I found to photograph this morning!

After work thanks to the clocks falling back it looks like midnight outside!

I really like having an office cat. I think I spend more time with her than any one else I know, even Joel.

Here is my self portrait tonight, I know it is blurry but it is REALLY dark out there and my head lamp lit the ground all weird.

According to the NOAA this was the last sunny day I, and all of Seattle, are going to see for at least a week. Good thing I went and took photos today.

I swear all these mushrooms just started popping up all over the place!

 This could almost be a self portrait.

Inky is doing her best to ignore me!

And on a sad note, this happened. Rest in peace little keyboard Kindle. I will miss you and your always connected to the internet so I could get a book whenever I wanted with out a WiFi hot spot feature.

It was a dark and stormy morning. The wind was blowing like crazy! I got to work before the real rain and wind started and for that I am thankful!

I really wanted to get a photo of the swirling leaves. I was too slow on the shutter and could not anticipate when the wind would gust. I kept getting photos like this:

As I was walking along I noticed a sun break. I turned to look and saw this.

It isn't what I wanted either.....

While my back was turned I heard a crack noise. I didn't think too much of it because there were pine cones flying around.

But to my surprise this was on the ground:

I made it safely to work with out being pelted by any flying debris!

My walk home took about an hour, twice as long as normal, because the storm had brought about many changes.

It was a fun day to take photos!



Why did I think it was a good idea to take a picture of myself everyday?

Happy November first! It is not only the start of a new month but it is the start of NaNoWriMo!! That is National Novel Writing Month! http://nanowrimo.org It is in fact goal # 4 to finish at least 50,000 words this year. I can do this :)

I tried to use my head lamp to take some photos this morning. The results are mixed but I think worth more experimenting.

 The rest of the photos were taken with ambient light only.
