Yay! It is Wednesday! Today is my day off.

I saw this warty squash thing at the store.

I had lunch with this guy!

I then decided to make eggplant lasagna. This is the first time I remember making anything with an eggplant...

Joel says it was delicious. I thought it was pretty good. I am not sure if I like the taste of eggplant or not.....

While I was cooking this guy came to visit me

I don't know what kind of bug he is but he was a nice friend to hang out with while I was cooking. It sat on my shoulder. Now he is on the wall.... I didn't want  to kick him outside.... it's cold....

I used my 50D for all the photos except the ones of the bug.

Update: 11/14 Joel found my Elph, the couch really did eat it. Oh and I have been told that the bug is a Stink bug... but he didn't smell funny to me!

I am pretty sure my couch ate my little pink Canon Elph.... I cannot find it :(

On the up side of this it is forcing me to use my 50D on manual. This is a good thing.

Tonight was Lady Planeswalker Society.  This is a group for women (and men too) to play Magic The Gathering in a safe, inviting, learning environment. It is a lot of fun.

I hope everyone has had and excellent Veterans Day. 

I had to work so I made Inky help.... okay I can't really make her do much but she thought it would be a great idea to sit right where I was trying to put boxes away.

It was a very beautiful day here in Seattle. It was almost sunny and warm!

I really like dandelions. I know they are weeds but it looks like a little yellow sun. And I can't believe it is still blooming in November!

Last night the capacitor died in my monitor. I am pretty thankful that my mom is letting me use her lap top!

I don't always hang out with cats. Sometimes I hang out with this guy. His name is Syd Vicious. 

 Here are some random kids toys that are in his backyard. His mom doesn't have any children. I think a child visited her once and left the toys.

This moth was there too, I think it was trying to stay warm.

We went to the grocery story and I found these flowers.

Here is my portrait tonight. I am wearing my Pokemon shirt. I got this shirt because it has ALL the Eevees (except for the new on that just came out). I have all the Eevees in one of my Pokemon games. It took quite a bit of time to do it but I have a Jolteon, Vaporeon, Leafeon, Glaceon, Flareon, Espeon, and Umbreon.... in case you wanted to know :)

November 9th 2013

I did  not walk a different path home tonight.... oh well....

I have been going grocery shopping after work to pick up the ingredients I am going to use to make dinner. This is solving the problem of not going shopping on the 6th because Joel was called into work early. Today I went to the QFC and bought mozzarella, Parmesan, and ricotta cheese. I happily left the grocery store. I walked about a 1/4 mile when I remembered that I didn't get noodles for the manicotti. I debated with myself about going back to the store. I went back. I got the noodles and then I remembered this:

My poor love. I am not going to lie.... ever since he got his job our lives have changed, sometimes I wonder if it is for the better. Sure our bank account isn't empty at the end of the month but we don't really see each other much now. This is his work schedule for the pat week....and I am pretty sure he works on Monday now too.... it just hasn't been written down. I leave for work at 7:15 and get home at 6:30 on Tues., Thurs. and Friday. I work on Monday and Saturday too. Joel is usually sleeping when I leave for work and I am ready for bed or in bed when he gets home. The time he is supposed to get off work is just a suggestion sometimes.

I love Joel. I love him more then chocolate and ice cream. We have made it thought harder times then we are in now.... I was much harder when he lost his job at Christmas, right after we moved into our first appartment and I worked for Americorps......

Joel has a blanket that is older then the hills, it's name is Blue-greeny. He also loves the Very Hungry Caterpillar. He would read the book over and over to anyone that would listen when he was a kid.

He is a musician and a composer.

He has his own personal style of wearing two different color flipflops and shorts..... even in the middle of winter!

He loves to read.

He also loves carrot cake. So I got one at the store today. And decided to make dinner into a romantic one.

We are a beautiful mess together. Nothing is perfect in our world except that we love one another. We a may be busy and not see each other but we are together. We are starting to flourish in the tiny space we have carved out together.

You are my other half! I love you Joel!!

I will never have to be cold and alone like this poor slug I found today!

As I walked to work this morning, I thought about how I was tired of taking photos of stuff. I really enjoy taking photos of people, I always have. I need to figure out a way to take more portraits.

I am also going to walk home from work a different way tomorrow. I think I need some new scenery for a bit.

I found these two random objects on my way to work this morning:

 This couch was not there when I walked home last night.

 It was pretty windy... I think this blew out of the trash.... It should have been in the recycle bin.

Walking home this evening I discovered that maybe my little head lamp wasn't enough light....

  Neither were the street lamp or the moon!

On the upside I did this today.... I know I complained about Christmas stuff being out so early this year..... but, this shoot was for out clinic Christmas card. These are just a little taste. You will have to wait for closer to Christmas to see the photo for our card!

Inky really just sat in the box with the hat on when we walked away to look at the photos. Even George had to come check out her cool Christmas digs. I think she would have sat there all afternoon, but she decided that eating the garland was a good idea so she got booted from the set.

Last but not least, I am actually in this photo three times. You have to look close!

And..... I didn't write anything at all yesterday.... I am going to start writing as soon as I hit post.... I have to catch up my word count! Yikes!
