My day started out not so good....
As I was walking to work in the rain I felt my butt getting hot.... and wet....
My tea cup broke!
I also found another shopping cart. This one belongs to the QFC. The closest QFC is by the Clinic.... I couldn't imaging pushing a shopping cart up and down all the hills....
But then my day got infinitely better! I got a box in the the mail!!
My photog friend Sarah sent me this awesome box. It is full of Cotton!
You see, Sarah lives in Georgia and posted some photos of the cotton fields. I thought they were pretty neat and told her that I had never seen cotton plants in person. So, She sent me some!! She is the coolest!
I have a feeling these Bolls and fluffs need some more photographic exploration with better lighting!
Following my passion for photography, I am going to post at least 5 photos plus 1 self portrait for 1001 days.

It was a lovely spring day today!
Joel and I went to Bothell to visit a bird specialty store. We spoke with them about taming Artemis and Opal. They recommended separating them so they bond with us rather then with each other. This is under consideration.....
Also there was this....
We had lunch at a Thai place called Pen. It was pretty good. Joel really liked the Pad Thai, he said is was amongst the best he has had. High praise indeed!
I had Green Curry. It was delicious.
Joel also thought it would be fun to have my self portrait be in the reflection of a knife
Oh and I made this today, an origami lotus! It was easy.
I will add it to the list of origami I like to do....
1. Cranes
2. Butterflies
3. Lotus blossoms

It was a soggy day all around today.
The plants need that water to grow so, I think the rain is good.
The drainage ditch looked like a real stream,
including a piece of a desk?
I used this photo for week 9 of My 2014 Weekly Photo Project- Numbers or Letters
I am thinking about using this one for next week Repetitive:
Any thoughts?
On my walk home tonight I took a photo with the flash that actually looks pretty neat!
I was pretty wed by the time I got home.
Inky says, "Goodnight!"

Today was a slow creative day....
Artemis wandered around again tonight... This time Joel let him out.
I also made some tea. It is black tea leaves, allspice and cardamon. It is supposed to make me feel warm.
Joel and I played Path of Exile tonight. He is the one with brown hair. The blue frog is his too. The kitty is mine.

Today I learned a valuable lesson.
It is important to actually read the word that is written, not what you think it says.
There is a very big difference between Rainer Ave S and Rainier Ave S.
I wanted to go have coffee with my friend Kathyrn (not my boss Kathryn a different Kathryn). I ended up lost in the industrial district of Seattle and stuck behind a railroad crossing....
I eventually made it to the right place after looking at the GPS one more time....
The crane collage I made also went to its new home with Kathryn.
This evening I decided that I would clean some of the birds toys. The mirror that they love gets very dirty. Artemis decided that it would be a great time to go on a new adventure. His flight feathers have
grown in and he is proving to be quite the flyer....
Remind me why I wanted pet birds again.... It is really hard to tame them....
Since I couldn't reach him and he seemed pretty happy on the pot I decided I would repot my orchids. These two orchids were a gift from a client after her kitty passed away from a hard fought illness. His name was Fox.
They are in the tiniest pots. I hope that giving them a new home will help them grow and maybe bloom again.
Don't worry I was supervised the entire time.
I gave up on getting Artemis back in his cage. I went to go watch some League of Legends. I guess he wanted to watch too....
After he sat on the T.V. for a while he found his cage and went peacefully in after I opened the door.

| Yes, these are drinking glasses. I didn't have anything else to put them in.... |

I learned that my three legged kitty friend's name is Tenzing.
When he was adopted his family was told not to let him outside. But he had different ideas, he climbed and ripped up all the window screens. So they named him after Tenzing Norgay, one of the first men to climb Mount Everest.
There were lots of reds, yellows, and oranges on the way to work this morning.
Tilly's orchid bloomed!
And I lost my breakfast......
But you can't stay mad at someone who has such cute toes!
I am feeling pretty disappointed this evening. My short story didn't make it into the Women Destroy SciFi issue of Lightspeed Magazine. I am actually surprised how disappointed I am. It will be alright. They are having a new contest, this time, it is a fantasy short story.
