Today marks a great day in history, I finally got my Oregon license plates!!

The Saga that started late JANUARY has finally come to an end. And I was #5 at the DMV this morning!

Yes, I had to go back to the DMV to get my plates, why you might ask.... I am not sure, but somehow the plates the DMV originally sent me never actually made it to me.... why? Who knows, I am banking on the mailman hates us, because our rent bill never came either..... oh well, that is all done for two years....

So I tried.... the key word is tried.... to do some macros and close ups of the blue frogs.... I will have to try again.... I need more light.

It was vitamin night, that is why the fruit flies are all white and powdery.

My extension tubes are giving me a hard time. My lens is not communicating with the camera through the tubes, all the time, when I use all three tubes. Individually they all work fine.

Anyway, we have many escapee fruit flies hanging around the house, they are the lucky ones that escape being dinner for a frog. They usually make some epic journey across the room to end up in the bathroom or floating in a water glass. They are industrious little guys, they can't fly so they have to journey on foot across vast tracts of carpet.

(I did put these guys in the freezer, for about 10 minutes, to attempt to stop them from moving so quickly. That only kinda worked.... my "studio"space is really, really warm..... I only had a few seconds and they were off and running.)

I also went to a work Christmas party today and I got a neat-o present.

Here is the only photo I was able to get of the bush tits this evening. Those little guys are fast and very skittish.

In other news today we added this guy to our family.

And I stalked the fruit flies that congregate in my bathroom.

Joel tried to cut the tip of his finger off on Saturday.... It seems to be healing....

I slept through my alarm this morning. I woke up 15 minutes before I had to go to work. Poor Joel had to get up and take me to work, then come home and have a nap before he had to go into work. Needless to say I left my camera sitting on the desk as I rushed out the door. I decided to do a bit of macro photography here at home tonight. Lazy macro photography... I used my Elph on its macro setting instead of dragging out my tripod and extension tubes... Here is my offering today... such as it is.

Joel and I dried this honey crisp apple ourselves.

Dinner! White beans, black beans, and kidney beans.

If you look close there is a fruit fly there on the edge of the tea bag.

We have had more then our fair share of them this fall.....

This is Molly's eye. She is my teddy bear I have had since I was 8.

Here I am standing on a chair. You can also see part on my messy kitchen, yes that is mail on the floor that hasn't been pick up yet. In fact, it is still on the floor right now.... I should probably go pick that up.
