November 10th, 2014

I was having some trouble thinking of what to photograph today. Joel told me to get the extension tubes and set and array if different things from the kitchen on a piece of white paper.

Brown rice

Dried chili

A white crystal... Salt? Sugar?

White rice

Farrow

Clove
Joel's eye
Bucky Balls
my eye
This may be worth some more exploring.

Have a great night!

November 21st 2013

Today there was a not so gentle reminder that winter is coming. It was 33 degrees when I walked to work this morning! BRRRRRRRRRR!

It was a clear morning with lots of frost.

And here is a photo of my eye!

Tomorrow is supposed to be cold and clear again. I am planning on leaving the house a little bit earlier and take some photos with my 50D!

October 24th 2013

Today, I spent most of my time trying to photograph Inky's eye. She didn't think it was the best way for me to spend my time.

Inky decided that trying to eat my lunch would be the best revenge. That cat loves almond butter......
(I know these are terrible but they make me laugh)

Now, here is the triumph of  today! This orange cat is named George. He is our inside feral cat. No one can touch George, no one can usually get within 3 feet of George. I'm not kidding. He might look cute but if I were to try to catch him and do anything with him, he would try to kill me. That has happened.

But for the grace of my camera strap I got within 6 inches of him today!

Sometimes, he will touch his nose to my finger, but that is all the touching, for a week.

and here is a leaf that I found on top of my car when I got to work. I was tired this morning and the thought of walking to work made me more tired, so I drove.

Finally, my self portrait. While you can't see my face, you can see my arm and my little pink camera. The camera is kind of like my face, right?

October 19th 2013

The morning was foggy again. There was plenty of dew on all the spider webs. There were many shots that I thought were pretty neat.  If you would like to see the spider webs go to my g+ page https://plus.google.com/u/0/ I have a spider web album that I hope I will be adding to.

One thing about Seattle, or maybe the whole Pacific Northwest, I find interesting is that in the fall or winter when it is cloudy, the light is pretty much the same all day. It stays a diffuse grey from sunrise to sunset. That is nice for no shadows but it hardly make for dramatic lighting. Oh well, diffuse light is better then no light! Tomorrow I am going to photograph my friend in her cosplay. I hope I do her and her hard work justice!

I took what I felt were some pretty great photos today. I actually couldn't get down to only 5 images today. I am VERY happy with my selection. Please enjoy these 8 images.

I made a friend on my walk today. My little friend that would not be still!

 And Me!

These photos were taken with a Canon PowerShot Elph 100HS and unedited.

October 15th 2013

I slept through my alarm this morning. I woke up 15 minutes before I had to go to work. Poor Joel had to get up and take me to work, then come home and have a nap before he had to go into work. Needless to say I left my camera sitting on the desk as I rushed out the door. I decided to do a bit of macro photography here at home tonight. Lazy macro photography... I used my Elph on its macro setting instead of dragging out my tripod and extension tubes... Here is my offering today... such as it is.

Joel and I dried this honey crisp apple ourselves.

Dinner! White beans, black beans, and kidney beans.

If you look close there is a fruit fly there on the edge of the tea bag.
We have had more then our fair share of them this fall.....

This is Molly's eye. She is my teddy bear I have had since I was 8.
Here I am standing on a chair. You can also see part on my messy kitchen, yes that is mail on the floor that hasn't been pick up yet. In fact, it is still on the floor right now.... I should probably go pick that up.
